Principal's Message

Ericka Guynes, PrincipalEricka Guynes, PrincipalDear Families,

It’s hard to believe that it’s already April! As we prepare for the end of the year, and start thinking about summer we have a lot to be thankful for at Earl Boyles. We are quickly moving forward with the addition of the early learning wing and neighborhood center at Earl Boyles. Next year we will have three new preschool classrooms for our 3 and 4 year olds, an adult classroom, infant toddler room for families to enjoy with their young children, and a beautiful parent resource center. Our new space will allow our community to partner with our families much earlier. I look forward to our partnership in your child’s education.

Summer Break

Dear Families,

It always amazes me how quickly time goes by when you are enjoying what you do! This year it has been a pleasure to meet so many wonderful students and their supportive families. On behalf of the entire EB Staff, and myself I would like to express my sincere thanks to each and every family member for your support and contribution throughout the school year. Family participation in our school events, Parents United Group (PUG), conferences and volunteer work is greatly appreciated. Family partnerships with Earl Boyles are the key to leading our children down the pathway to success. So with much gratitude I thank you for a successful year!

Just a reminder that our school, playground, covered area, and parking lot will be closed for the summer due to construction and remodeling for our new Early Learning Wing and Neighborhood Center. Our school will be reopened on August 25, 2014, and the first day of school for students is Thursday, September 4. If you need to contact us over the summer our office will be temporarily be relocated at Ron Russell Middle School.

I look forward to seeing all of you again in the fall of 2014. I hope you enjoy lots of fun family time, keep safe and healthy on special trips and remember to encourage everyone in your homes to keep reading.

Take care, have a terrific summer, and I will see you in September!

Mrs. Guynes
