Turning Your Feedback into School Improvements
Last November, we launched our new Student and Family Experience Surveys. The feedback we received from Earl Boyles students and families provided us with valuable insights into our strengths and areas for improvement.
We received feedback from 145 students grades 3-5 and 47 parents/guardians. These survey results have been analyzed to help guide our decision-making and school improvements.
Here are a few things we learned from the student survey:
Our Strength
- 95.9% of students try their best in their schoolwork.
- 91% of students report having friends at school.
- 84.1% of students report having a grown-up at school they can talk to when they feel sad or upset.
- 91% of students know what to do during an emergency at school (Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, Shelter).
Progress Areas
- 86.9% of students think their teacher cares about them, an increase from 74% from December 2024 YouthTruth results.
Areas for Improvement
- Reviewing Treatment Agreements weekly with students.
- Creating a strong culture where students feel they belong and are an important part of their class.
Together, we are empowering all of our Earl Boyles students to reach their highest potential. Our ability to improve is driven by the feedback we receive from our families and students. We will continue to listen and learn, and we look forward to doing this again!
